A house of a half-forgotten place...

... in a rural environment, where you can walk through time, where isolation does not cost and contemplation is mandatory. Near the river Douro, in the municipality of Baiao, Santa Marinha do Zêzere.

With predominating woods and granite...

... this is a house that presents itself genuin.

It has not been remodeled, transformed or interveein, but to guarantee the convenience of current times, it  is equipped to make the normal life of a house, with an improved kitchen and bathroom, and connected to the world by Satellite (TV) and the Internet (available on condition).

Just one hour away from Porto ...

... city recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage Site, and only 20 minutes from Alto Douro Vinhateiro, also a World Heritage Site, with access (from Régua) to unique Boat and Train rides. Close by to some unspoilt landscapes painted by  the hills of  Montemuro, Aboboreira and Marão.

On the Romanesque Route ...

... and the Green Wine Route, so close to the Port and Douro Wine Route.

A few miles from  Tormes, where the writer Eça de Queiroz lived.

... , we want to share with you this small space where time, not having stopped, invites us for some reflection and contemplation.

(Our car wont get to the house, to the house it only gets the will to stay).

Our Mission

To contribute to improving the quality of life of people, by sharing one space with the characteristics that allow, in contrast to the agitated modus of urban life, a rural reality experience, where is still present a rhythm to the taste of nature, with splashes of (good) rusticity and naturality, for an genuine countryside experience.
 
 

Affordable tourism

The House does not facilitate access or experience of people with special needs, not responding to accessibility regulations requirements (not applicable to the same). Access to the house is by a pedestrian road (30 meters from the car to the house) what can be conditional for people with motor limitations (permanent or temporary). The presence of assisting dogs is permitted, provided that they fulfil the legal obligations on the part of the carriers of these animals.
